Reverend Mark Lomax
Pastor

Our pastor, Father Mark Lomax, was assigned to St. Luke June, 2006. He came to St. Luke from St. Mark's Church in Chalmette, Louisiana, where he served as pastor for nine years.

An avid hunter and former Army chaplain who served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, Father Lomax was pastor of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Bayou Liberty nine years ago. A New Orleans native, he was ordained in 1980.

Rev. Mr. Robert Binney
Deacon

He enjoys playing sports and attending sporting events. Golf is a pastime he enjoys when time permits.
Bob, his wife Fay and their six children came to Slidell from New Orleans in 1968. They were charter members of St. Luke Parish and active in parish life. Bob was ordained a Deacon in 1989 and after ministering for two years at St. Luke, he spent six years as a Chaplain at Southeast Louisiana Hospital in Mandeville. He returned to St. Luke in 1998. Bob also assists at the Archdiocese Tribunal and Fay is coordinator of the St. Luke ministry to the homebound.

Rev. Mr. Harold Burke
Deacon

Harold and his wife, Leah, are both natives of New Orleans. They became parishioners of St. Luke, along with their four children, in August of 1987. Leah joined the parish staff as the Youth Minister a year later and they have continued to work with the young people of St. Luke ever since. Harold was ordained a Deacon on May 11, 1996 and was assigned to St. Luke Parish. After retiring from BellSouth, Harold became Director of Liturgy in September 1998. Harold and Leah love the people of St. Luke and enjoy serving the parish.

Rev. Mr. Robert Trainor
Deacon

Bob is a widower and a native of New Orleans. Before moving to Slidell, he lived in Metairie for 33 years. All five of his children are married and four, along with nine grandchildren, live on the Northshore.

He was ordained a Deacon on December 21, 1991. He was assigned to St. Edward the Confessor in Metairie for four years. He has served here at St. Luke since 1995. Before retirement, Bob was a regional manager for an insurance company and also a financial planner.

Bob loves serving the Lord and His people. Bob’s favorite Scripture is Luke 12:48.

Rev. Mr. Ronald LeBlanc
Deacon
